The food and beverage industry is notorious for its use of packaging, and necessarily so because food hygiene is paramount! We are no exception, but we are conscious of all the disposable plastic tubs and containers we use and try our best to be as responsible as we can. If you're wondering what happens to all our packaging...
- Our eco-friendly Cook-It-Yourself Kits are made from renewable resources and are 100% recyclable.
- Our plastic tubs/containers are 100% recyclable.
- Small orders are delivered in recycled supermarket plastic bags.
- Larger orders are delivered in reusable plastic boxes which are returned with your next order, washed, cleaned and reused.
- Cans, bottles, boxes etc that are used in our normal working day are seperated into bins and sent to our local recycling centre on a weekly basis.
- All the Cook-It-Yourself boxes and plastic tubs we send to you are returnable. If you leave them for collection with your next delivery, we will sort through them and send them to the recycling centre on our weekly trips.
We hope that you will also make the effort to minimise waste by either reusing your boxes, or seperating and recycling them. If your waste disposal company doesn't provide recyling bins (the company servicing our office doesn't!), the National Environment Agency has a list of their recyling centres here. At the end of the day, what's good for the earth is good for us so every little effort helps!
